How we work
Editorial Standards
Every tool on this site is a formula somebody wrote by hand. This page explains who, from what, and how it gets checked.

Why we publish this
A calculator that will not show its working is just an opinion with a number attached. Because our tools are used to think about pay, hiring, debt, study time and business spending, the method behind them should be as inspectable as the result. This page is the standing description of that method; each individual tool page repeats the parts that matter for its own subject.
Where the numbers come from
Benchmark ranges are compiled by hand from four kinds of source: published labour-market and automation research, vendors’ own public pricing and documentation pages, platform payout and rate-card disclosures, and long-run historical averages for asset classes and business costs. Where sources disagree, we take the more conservative figure and say so in the notes on the page.
We never invent a statistic to make a page look authoritative, and we do not quote a precise figure when the honest answer is a range. If a tool cannot know something — your employer’s plans, next year’s model prices, a specific market return — the page says that plainly instead of implying precision it does not have.
How the formulas are built and tested
Each tool is written as a small, deterministic function: the same inputs always produce the same output, and nothing is fetched from an external model at run time. That design is deliberate. It keeps the tools instant and free, and it means anybody can re-run a result and get the same answer rather than a different generated paragraph each time.
Before a tool is published we test it at the edges — zero, empty, very large and deliberately unrealistic inputs — to make sure it degrades into a sensible message rather than a nonsense number. Scores are bounded, currencies are rounded to whole units, and percentages are clamped so a slider cannot push a result past what is physically possible.
What we will not claim
We do not publish testimonials, star ratings, earnings guarantees, or “users report” statistics, because we have no way to verify them. We do not present estimates as advice, and we do not tell you what to do with your money, your job or your studies. Where a decision needs a licensed professional, the page says so.
Advertising is separate from content
The site is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no input into which tools we build, what a calculator recommends, or how a product is described. Ad placements sit in fixed positions — beneath the page title and between major sections — and are never styled to look like tool output, navigation, or a result. Nothing on this page or any other is paid placement.
Updates and corrections
Benchmarks age quickly in this subject, so tools are revisited as prices and research change. If you find a wrong figure or a result you cannot reproduce, email support@aianswerengine.app or use the contact form with the page name and your inputs. We fix confirmed errors as soon as we can and re-check the surrounding logic at the same time.
The limits of every estimate are set out in our disclaimer, and data handling is covered in the privacy policy.
