I run AI Answer Engine. Every calculator on this site is a formula somebody wrote by hand and can defend in public, and in most cases that somebody is me. My working rule is simple: if a number appears on a page, the page has to explain where the number came from, what it assumes, and where it stops being reliable.
The site exists because the honest answers to questions like “will AI take my job?” or “is this automation worth the licence cost?” are arithmetic questions, not opinion questions — but almost nobody publishes the arithmetic. So we do, in the open, with the limitations stated on the same screen as the result.
What I write about
- Automation exposure and labour-market effects — how task mix, not job title, decides who gets compressed first.
- Automation ROI and cost modelling — licence spend, hours reclaimed, payback periods and the overheads people forget to count.
- AI tool economics — token pricing, model comparison, and when a cheaper model is the correct answer.
- Realistic online income — what channels, newsletters, courses and print-on-demand actually pay at a given audience size.
How I check the work
Benchmark ranges are compiled by hand from published research, vendors’ own public pricing pages, platform payout disclosures and long-run historical averages. Where sources disagree I take the more conservative figure and say so on the page. Formulas are tested against worked examples that are published alongside the tool so a reader can reproduce the result without trusting me.

Corrections and contact
